TimberNook Experience

TimberNook
On Wednesday our class went on a day trip to TimberNook.
TimberNook is not your typical nature program. TimberNook intricately weaves the therapeutic aspects of nature with its unique understanding of child development to create an outdoor program that supports every aspect of the growing child. We do this by skillfully using the environment as inspiration for creative play opportunities that challenge the mind, body, and the senses. It was a very new concept and I have never done anything like it.

The PMI above is my reflection of what I thought.

BENCHMARK PERCENTAGES

WE HAVE LEARNING TO CALCULATE PERCENTAGES OF WHOLE NUMBER AMOUNTS USING BENCHMARK PERCENTAGES:

There are 180 students at Jamie’s school. 30% of them went camping

How many went on camp? 180 / 10 = 18 x 3= 54

Devon’s family went out for dinner. The cost of the meal was $140. They gave a 15% tip.
How much did they tip?  140 / 10 = 14 halved = 7 + 14= 21

(These were 2 of some I worked out)
